A quick guide to preparing for your neuromodulator treatment.
What is Botox?
- Botulinum toxin injection for smoothing expression lines
- Also used for jawline slimming and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
- Results appear within 3-14 days and last 3-6 months
- Approved for ages 18-65, not suitable during pregnancy
What to Avoid Before Treatment
- Avoid alcohol 24 hours before treatment
- Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and blood-thinning supplements (fish oil, vitamin E) for 48 hours if medically safe
- These can increase bruising risk
What to Expect
- The procedure takes 10-15 minutes
- A very fine needle is used - discomfort is minimal
- You can return to normal activities immediately
- Full results are visible after about 2 weeks
