After Botox
Simple guidelines for the best results after your neuromodulator treatment.
First 4 Hours
- Stay upright - do not lie down for 4 hours
- Do not rub or massage the treated areas
- Do not press on or touch the injection sites
- Light activities are fine
First 24 Hours
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
- Avoid facials, facial massages, or other facial treatments
- Mild headache on day 1-2 is common and not a concern
Results Timeline
- Initial effect visible within 3-5 days
- Full results at approximately 2 weeks
- Effects last 3-6 months depending on the area
- Asymmetry should be assessed at 2 weeks, not before
Possible Side Effects
- Small red marks at injection sites - resolve within hours
- Mild bruising - resolve within a few days
- Temporary headache
- Rare: temporary eyebrow or eyelid drooping (resolves within weeks)
When to Contact Us
- Eyelid or eyebrow drooping that persists
- Difficulty swallowing or speaking
- Vision changes
- Allergic reaction (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty)
