After Treatment

After Filler Injections

What to expect and how to care for yourself after hyaluronic acid or biostimulator injections.

First 48 Hours

  • Apply ice packs in 10-15 minute intervals to reduce swelling
  • Swelling peaks at 24-48 hours - this is normal, especially with lip fillers
  • Avoid touching, pressing, or massaging the treated area
  • Sleep with your head slightly elevated

What to Avoid

  • Strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours
  • Alcohol for 24 hours
  • Extreme heat or cold (sauna, steam room) for 2 weeks
  • Dental procedures for 2 weeks
  • Facial massages for 2 weeks
  • Flying for 24-48 hours (optional - pressure changes may worsen swelling)

Results & Recovery

  • HA fillers: immediate results, final appearance once swelling resolves (1-2 weeks)
  • Biostimulators: gradual improvement over 2-6 months
  • Mild bruising is common and resolves within 5-10 days
  • Small lumps may be felt initially - most resolve as swelling decreases
